Blackburn Arsenal 28th Aug 12:45pm
The early kick off on Saturday afternoon see Arsenal face a tricky trip to Ewood Park to play Blackburn Rovers. For the football purists this should be an interesting encounter between two very different styles of play, with Arsenal’s free flowing football up against Blackburn’s robust defensive style.

Predication – With Arsenals World Cup stars getting back to fitness they will edge it – Away win

Blackpool  Fulham 28th Aug 15:00pm
This Saturday see’s the first Premiership game at Bloomfield Road, where Fulham are the visitors. At this early stage of the season the Blackpool fans must feel like they have been on a rollercoaster rather than watching football. With the high of their opening day win away to Wigan and the low’s of a hammering at the Emirates followed by an embarrassing cup exit to the MK Dons. In contrast Fulham have made a solid start to the season under Mark Hughes with two draws against Bolton and Manchester United.

Predication – Hard game to call – Draw

Chelsea Stoke City 28th Aug 15:00pm
With six points and twelve goals, Chelsea have made a perfect start to the new season and play pointless Stoke. There is no doubt that after a tough start to the season, the last place Tony Pulis wants to take his troops is Stamford Bridge.

Predication – Another comfortable Chelsea win – Home win

Tottenham Wigan 28th Aug 15:00pm

If Chelsea has made the dream start, then last week’s opponents Wigan has made a nightmare one and it doesn’t get easier for them with a visit to a bubbling Tottenham team. Despite a positive start to the season, Harry Redknapp has got a month without last season’s top goal scorer Defoe, however he will be confident they have enough in reserve to beat a struggling Wigan. His counterpart Roberto Martinez has to stop the rot after conceding ten and failing to score in their opening two fixtures.

Predication – Even without Defoe Spurs will be too strong – Home win

Wolves Newcastle 28th Aug 15:00pm

Wolves welcome a vibrant Newcastle to Molineux in a battle between two teams who will be more than happy with their starts to the new season. After Newcastle’s 6-0 thumping of Aston Villa, manager Chris Hughton will be happy to send out the same eleven again. As for Mick McCarthy, he will need to decide to stick with the team who got a credible draw against Everton or to give new loan signing Michael Mancinenne his 3rd debut.

Predication – Close encounter which could swing either way – Draw

Man Utd West Ham 28th Aug 17:30pm

After Nani’s late penalty miss and Fulham’s last minute equalizer last time out, Manchester United will be determined not to drop more points against struggling West Ham. If he is honest, Avram Grant will admit West Ham are going to Old Trafford more in hope, rather than expectation of getting any sort of result after the Hammer’s poor start.

Predication – Easiest pick of the weekend – Home win

Bolton  Birmingham 29th Aug 13:30pm

The first television game on Sunday is not one that will excite football fans, other than fans of Bolton and Birmingham.
Both these teams are sitting pretty in the top half of the table after solid starts and its difficult to pick a winner from the two.

Predication – One word “Stalemate” – Draw

Sunderland  Man City 29th Aug 15:00pm

Sunderland welcomes the richest team in the world to last season’s fortress the ‘Stadium of Light’. On Monday night, Manchester City proved they are the real deal with a comfortable win against Liverpool and will be looking to add another three points. Hosts Sunderland have made a disappointing start to the season, but will be hoping to get back to the home form from last season and kick start their season.

Predication – Manchester City to continue the good start to the season - Away win

Liverpool West Brom 29th Aug 15:00pm

If Roy Hodgson is to bring back the glory days to Liverpool he will need to improve on the poor performance in Liverpool’s last outing. As for West Brom, you would hope that they have learned from their 6-0 defeat to Chelsea on the opening game of the season and defensively will be more astute.

Predication – Liverpool with some to spare – Home win

Aston Villa Everton 29th Aug 16:00pm

With last week’s hammering by Newcastle still fresh in the memory, this game will be decided on how Villa reacts against Everton. Both teams will feel that they have not really started their seasons yet and need a result to restore confidence and build upon.

Predication – If Villa turn up it will be a tight game – Draw
