Bradley Wiggins Odds-On For Tour De France
Cycling Betting Tips
British cyclist Bradley Wiggins is odds-on with all the bookies to win his first Tour De France, with the Londoner leading the field by over two minutes after 15 stages completed.
The 32-year-old has held the yellow jersey – which signifies the race leader – since the seventh stage and is a best price of 2/13 with BWIN to become the first ever British Tour De France winner.
There are five more stages to go, with the race entering the Pyrenees mountains on Thursday before concluding in Paris on the iconic Champs-Elysees on Sunday.
BetVictor are so confident of a Wiggins victory that they have priced the entire field at 4/1 to beat the Team Sky rider.
Wiggins praised the effort of his teammate Mark Cavendish who has put his personal aspirations on hold during the race to aid the Londoner’s campaign.
World road race champion, Cavendish, won the green jersey last year but has taken a back seat this time round and will concentrate on the upcoming Olympics.
The Manxman is 9/4 favourite to win the road race and exorcise the memories of 2008 when he was the only member of the GB track team to go home without a medal.
