2011 European F1 Grand Prix Odds & Tips

Following the most exciting race of the season so far in Canada, attention now turns to the European Grand Prix. Jenson Button’s dramatic Canadian Grand Prix victory has really got people talking about Formula One and hopefully the McLaren team can continue to challenge Red Bull and stop Sebastian Vettel making the Drivers Championship a procession. Currently leading the Championship by 60pts, Sebastian Vettel is on offer at a best price of 6/5 with Paddy Power for the upcoming European Grand Prix. Having won five of the seven races thus far this season, Vettel’s price is arguably value but we don’t know whether the dramatic fashion in which he lost in Canada will have affected the German’s confidence. One driver who certainly won’t be having a crisis of confidence is McLaren’s Jenson Button. His superb drive in the last race was probably the best of his career thus far and at 8/1 with Victor Chandler, I can see no reason to desert Button. He has finished on the podium in four of the seven races this season and in all of the last three. Getting twice the price of team mate Lewis Hamilton seems incredible, especially on the back of the Canadian Grand Prix result. European Grand Prix Tip Back Jenson Button each way at 8/1 with Victor Chandler European Grand Prix Betting (Prices from bet365) Sebastian Vettel Evs Lewis Hamilton 10/3 Fernando Alonso 5/1 Mark Webber 7/1 Jenson Button 15/2 Felipe Massa 33/1 Nico Rosberg 33/1 Michael Schumacher 50/1 Nick Heidfeld 100/1 Vitaly Petrov 100/1 500/1 Bar Betting on the European Grand Prix takes a similar shape to most weeks, with some huge prices available on anyone bar the first five drivers. The bookies continue to take no chances on Ferrari’s Fernando Alonso, the Spaniard priced at only 5/1 with bet365. It’s slightly confusing considering Alonso has only managed two podium finishes this year, while Webber and Button have produced better results but are consistently on offer at bigger odds. Ferrari’s number two Felipe Massa can be backed at 33/1 while Michael Schumacher is a 50/1shot.
