Uefa World Cup Qualifiers Tips & Betting PreviewFootball Betting Tips, International Football
With a full round of World Cup qualifiers to pick from on Friday night it means only one thing – accumulators at the ready.
Unlike club competitions international qualifiers are, to an extent, generally predictable. Your bankers on Friday are Italy to beat Armenia, Spain to beat Belarus, Sweden to beat the Faroe Islands and at a whopping 1/100 the Netherlands to beat Andorra.
All of those favourite nations are heavily odds-on and there is little to no value lumping on them individually, but they pay out at 1.72 in an accumulator.
If those odds are still too minuscule for your liking then crank them up by substituting Netherlands to win for Netherlands -5, taking the price to a healthier 3.58.
Away from the mismatches Russia v Portugal looks the most enticing fixture. Russia were convincing in their opening two qualifiers, beating Northern Ireland 2-0 before following up with a 4-0 defeat of Israel.
Portugal were not quite so convincing when dispatching Luxemburg by a meagre 2-1 scoreline, however, a 3-0 victory of Azerbaijan swiftly followed.
Cristiano Ronaldo and co. are 17/10 for the win, which looks even better when you take the two nations’ head-to-head record into account (Portugal 3, Draw 1, Russia 1) but Russia manager Fabio Capello is not in the habit of losing qualifiers and the draw is tipped at 11/5.
