Just four days after they controversially met in the Premier League Chelsea and Manchester United meet once again in west London, this time in the Capital One Cup.

Despite prevailing 3-2 on Sunday United are the 2/1 outsiders to win on Wednesday, with Chelsea a short 5/6 to exact revenge for a loss which saw them reduced to nine men, and concede a late winner having battled back to 2-2.

The Red Devils’ only previous League Cup tie this season came against Premier Leauge opposition, with Newcastle put to the sword 2-1.

United have impressed in their cup performances this season and have all but qualified for the knockout stages of the Champions League already.

Chelsea have also carried over their fine Premier League form into the cups and a 6-0 defeat of Wolves in the previous round suggests Roberto Di Matteo has not lost his lust for silverware.

Sir Alex Ferguson’s team may have won on Sunday but the fact remains they have an awful record at Stamford Bridge in recent years so get on the short price for a Chelsea win.

Neither team has shown a desire to keep clean sheets so far this campaign and although it’s odds-on still go for both teams to score – at the end of the day profit is profit.
