Norwich are a tempting 16/5 to cause a shock when high-flying Tottenham visit Carrow Road in the fourth round of the Capital One Cup on Wednesday.

Should the Canaries succeed in dumping out Spurs it will complete a north London double for Chris Hughton’s team, with Arsenal leaving East Anglia earlier this month stung by a 1-0 defeat.

Spurs beat League One’s Carlisle in their only previous match in the League Cup with Andre Villas Boas fielding a much changed side to that which graces the Premier League stage.

Norwich also rang the changes for their second and third round wins against Scunthorpe and Doncaster but Hughton may choose to name a stronger XI against Premier League opposition.

The hosts are likely to apply more emphasis to this competition than Spurs, who also have a Europa League campaign to juggle so take the big price for a home victory.

And with unfamiliar defensive combinations almost certain to be seen the over 2.5 goals line is also advised at 4/6 and the 8/13 for both teams to score.

Grant Holt started for Norwich in the previous round and is expected to retain his place in Hughton’s first XI on Wednesday.

The journeyman striker has struggled to re-create last season’s goalscoring exploits but his fortunes in front of goal are fancied to improve and he gets the nod to open the scoring at 13/2.
