I’d imagine the last thing Roberto Mancini would have wanted was a trip to Stoke considering the current form of title rivals Manchester United, but that is what he’s got.

Stoke City might not be in the best of form right at the minute, but the Britannia Stadium is always a very difficult place to go and Stoke have actually won their last two league games in front of their home fans. A defeat at the hands of Liverpool in the FA Cup, and a narrow loss to Chelsea in their last league game, were not exactly humiliating and it would be little surprise if Tony Pulis’ side game Man City a difficult time of it.

City crashed out of the Europa League last week and defeat to Swansea recently really opened the door for Man Utd as far as the title race is concerned. City have still been winning the majority of their games but Utd have managed just that little bit extra and this has become a must win game for Mancini’s men. A narrow away win is the call.
