Another game that could be crucial in terms of the title race as Manchester City attempt to keep up their excellent record at the Etihad Stadium this season against a Sunderland side who defeated them earlier in the campaign.

City dropped crucial points at Stoke last time and have now dropped three points behind Manchester United following their win over Fulham on Monday night.

A draw away to Stoke usually wouldn’t be considered a bad result but with United having won their last six league games, Roberto Mancini’s side cannot afford anything less than victories if they are going to win this season’s Premier League title.

Sunderland continue to progress under manager Martin O’Neill and produced another fine display to defeat QPR at the Stadium of Light this past weekend.

They have some very talented young players at the club and they seem to be thriving under O’Neill’s guidance. Although Sunderland already have a win over City to their credit this season, I think things may be different at the Etihad this time.
