Norwich Premier League 2012/13 Betting Preview

Norwich Premier League 2012/13 Betting Preview

Norwich, along with Swansea, look dangerously vulnerable to the dreaded second season syndrome. Paul Lambert’s departure for Aston Villa in the summer can only be seen as a negative move for the club, despite him being replaced by Chris Hughton.

The Canaries have suceeded in keeping their playing squad relatively intact, however, so Hughton can have no complaints on that front.

Summer activity

Lambert represents the club’s only big loss of the summer, with Grant Holt remaining in Norfolk despite a bit of posturing shortly after the end of the season.

Norwich have also continued their efforts to re-create Leeds United’s entire midfield through the capture of Robert Snodgrass.

You can rely on…

Both teams to score. The Canaries scored and/or conceded in 26 matches last season.

Where should your money go?

The bookies have Norwich lined up for a poor season and you can get 5/6 for the Canaries to surpass 37 points, ten less than they achieved previously. Hughton’s team are also 5/4 to follow up last season’s 12th place finish with another top 15 berth this time out.

In the club’s top scorer market Holt leads the betting at a best price of 4/11, trailed closest by Steve Morrison at 3/1.
