Norwich, along with Swansea, look dangerously vulnerable to the dreaded second season syndrome. Paul Lambert’s departure for Aston Villa in the summer can only be seen as a negative move for the club, despite him being replaced by Chris Hughton.

Lambert represents the club’s only big loss of the summer, with Grant Holt remaining in Norfolk despite a bit of posturing shortly after the end of the season.
