QPR Premier League 2012/13 Betting Preview

QPR look to have made the transformation from Championship club with ideas above its station to bona fide top ten contender.

Mark Hughes has been allowed to add quality to his squad this summer and the Hoops certainly appear much more formidable than 12 months ago.

Park Ji Sung and Junior Hoilett are both brilliant purchases for the club. There’s a reason Sir Alex Ferguson always turned to Park for big matches and Hoilett stuck out like a sore thumb in a dire Blackburn team.

Those additions have also been supplemented by the signing of Fabio who should provide some quality in the defence, goalkeeper Rob Green and Andy Johnson.

Moving in the other direction, Paddy Kenny has linked up with Neil Warnock again at Leeds United.

You can rely on…

QPR to have a man sent off. The Hoops were reduced to ten men on nine occasions last season.

Where should your money go?

Djibril Cisse (pictured) seems good value at 2/1 to finish as the club’s top scorer, providing he can resist getting himself off in every match. As does 1/2 for a top 15 finish, with Hughes’ squad now much stronger than last season.

And if you think the Hoops are a whole eight points stronger this time around you can get evens for them to surpass 44 points.

Did you know…?

QPR’s stadium, Loftus Road, has the smallest capacity in the Premier League.
