Stoke v Arsenal Tips & Odds Preview

Sunday 25 August, KO 13.30

This has become something of a grudge match since the Ryan Shawcross/Aaron Ramsay incident and it’s certainly not been a fixture Arsenal have enjoyed of late.

The Gunners’ have not won at the Britannia for two seasons now and they seem to struggle with the physicality of Tony Pulis’ team.

Match odds

Stoke 5/2
Draw 12/5
Arsenal 11/10

Both teams kicked off their new Premier League campaigns with a draw. Stoke were held by Reading thanks to a late penalty, while Arsenal drew nil all with Sunderland, with Olivier Giroud missing a gilt-edged chance in the second half.

Arsenal may have lost two key players in the form of Robin van Persie and Alex Song this summer, but new signing Santi Cazorla looked bright last weekend and was at the centre of everything positive for the Gunners.

The Spaniard is 9/1 to go one better this week and open the scoring, which represents decent value.

Arsenal are favourites for the match but it’s hard to justify backing Arsene Wenger’s team just yet, and especially not at 11/10. The draw looks a likely outcome but Stoke could be set to cause an upset so get on the Potters, draw no bet at 5/4.
