Tottenham v Chelsea Tips & Betting PreviewEnglish Premier League, Football Betting Tips
Two of the Premier League’s in-form teams meet at White Hart Lane on Saturday lunch time when Tottenham host table-toppers Chelsea.
Andre Villas Boas endured a pedestrian start to life in north London but goes into his reunion with his, albeit brief, former employers having guided his side to four consecutive league wins, with scalps including Manchester United at Old Trafford.
Chelsea are also enjoying their own purple patch. The Blues are unbeaten so far this season and have only dropped two points, ironically in a goalless draw with bottom-of-the-table Queens Park Rangers.
These two sides last met in the FA Cup semi-final where Chelsea romped to a 5-1 victory, helped along the way by some typical Martin Atkinson officiating, however, the teams’ two league fixtures were both draws last season.
The bookies don’t seem to be able to call this match and there is little to pick between all three results odds so they are probably best ignored.
Of Spurs’ two draws this campaign both have been 1-1 with all the goals coming in the second half and the draw/draw at 9/2 in the HT/FT market looks generous. Incidentally that bet would have also paid out on Chelsea’s solitary draw this season.
The FA Cup semi-final aside these two sides also failed to cover the under 2.5 goals line in either fixture last season and are tipped to continue that run at Saturday at evens, with the 1-1 correct score also fancied at 6s.
