After a start good enough to surprise fans and pundits alike Arsenal’s season has unravelled somewhat in the past week – and the Gunners are 4/11 to stop the rot with victory over Queens Park Rangers on Saturday

Consecutive losses to struggling Norwich and Schalke in the Champions League in midweek have re-awoken the Arsenal faithful’s dissent at their frugal executives, with some questioning manager Arsene Wenger.

Despite the short odds a Gunner victory is anything but a given in north London. The R’s beat Arsenal last season and have shown signs of improvement over the previous weeks, including a hard-fought point against Everton last time out.

That being said Mark Hughes is still waiting his first three point haul this season and it’s hard to see Arsenal losing three matches in a week so stay away from the big odds on an away victory.

After keeping a clean sheet for their opening three matches Arsenal’s goal has become somewhat more welcoming and they’ve conceded in every game since. The 4/6 for both teams to score is a bit short but on current form is still worth backing.

And if the Hoops do get on the score sheet Adel Taarabt is likely to be responsible. The Moroccan international seems to have found the blend between genius and petulant in the last few games and was a constant threat against Everton last week. He is fancied to score anytime at 4/1.
