Incredible Six Moore Winners For Ryan
Horse Racing Tips
Ryan Moore increased his lead in the Jockeys’ Championship with an incredible six winners yesterday.
Moore, the 2009 champion, had 11 rides over two meetings, Lingfield and Sandown, and as well as six winners he managed two seconds and a third.
If you had backed all six triumphs in a £1 accumulator you would now be £5,282 richer. Moore’s highest priced winner came on the Sir Michael Stoute-trained Zenaat at 7/1 in the Thakeham Homes Franklins Gardens Maiden Stakes at Lingfield.
His smallest odds win was in the following race on Scottish Vespers, again a Sir Michael Stoute trainee.
However there was no Olympic inspired victory for Moore onboard Usain Colt who narrowly missed out at 5/1 in the Totepool Mobile Text ‘tote’ To 89660 Handicap at Sandown.
This form was no fluke for Moore, with the jockey riding five winners in a single day at York last summer, but he is still someway off Frankie Dettori’s feat of seven winners out of seven at Ascot in 1996.
Moore (pictured) leads Richard Hughes in the Championship, with William Buick in third after an impressive season with trainer John Gosden.
Last year’s Champion Paul Hanagan is somewhat off the pace in fourth after moving from Richard Fahey’s stable to retain as first jockey to owner Sheikh Hamdan Al Maktoum following the retirement of Richard Hills.
