Friday’s Horse Racing Tips From Redcar & Haydock
Horse Racing Tips, VIP Gambler of the Day
This Friday’s horse racing actions comes from Cheltenham, Fakenham, Haydock Park, Redcar and Wolverhampton. There is also an evening meeting over in Ireland at Dundalk. The pick of the action comes from Haydock Park as they stage some decent two year old events, while there is also plenty of interesting races for jump fans at Cheltenham. Here are our best bets for this Friday.
2.35pm Redcar
The Hold Your Christmas Party At Redcar Racecourse Handicap is a class 5 event for horses aged three years old and is run over a trip of seven furlongs. Eleven runners go to post and there is £2,264 on offer to the winning connections. The heavy going will definitely play a part in our selection process today and the conditions should certainly suit the 5/1 market leader La Salida. This filly from the Tim Barron yard ran arguably her best race to date on heavy going at Hamilton last time out when finishing second to Windygoul Lad, beaten just a neck. A repeat of that effort will see this young filly go very close. The winner that day also lines up for this race. He has been kept on the go by his handler since then, but has been largely disappointing. Coming here fresh, I believe the runner up can turn the tables and gain her second career victory.

4.10pm Haydock
A high class Nursery race here, the one mile Arnold Clark Jeep Chrysler Nursery is a class 2 contest open to two year olds only. There is £7,633 on offer to the winner and five runners go to post. Richard Fahey’s last time out winner Allnecessaryforce has been put in as the 11/4 market leader. His victory came at Newcastle under similar conditions and this horse is open to any amount of improvement. Polar Chief surprised most judges with his win on debut at Musselburgh at odds of 20/1. He should a very willing attitude that day and the form of the race isn’t too shabby, with the second placed horse having won since. Linda Stubbs runner has been kept off the track since, with his handler obviously waiting for suitable conditions. He looks a value play at the prices and is my selection for the race.
