Novak Djokovic v Roger Federer Tips

These two giants of world tennis have never duelled on the lawns of SW19, in fact they have never duelled on any lawn whatsoever.
This will be the 27th meeting between Novak Djokovic and Roger Federer, with Siwzerland edging Serbia by 14 wins to 12.
Unsurprisingly Djokovic has had his way with Federer recently, winning six out of their previous seven matches. Federer last beat the world No 1 at the French Open in 2011.
But of their 26 contests all have come on clay or hard courts – none on Federer’s preferred pallet of green.
The six-time Wimbledon champion has enjoyed a renaissance in 2012, collecting four ATP titles for his already swollen mantelpiece. He also warmed up for the All England Club by reaching the final on grass in Halle.
However, before you start lumping your money on Federer it is probably worth noting that Djokovic has a grand slam to his name in 2012, the Australian Open. A championship he won by beating Federer, although that match was a five-set marathon.
And therein lies the suggestion of a Federer win today, for if the world No 3 can take Djokovic so close on the hard courts surely he must win on grass?
Perhaps, but the Serb has dropped only one set on his route the semi-finals, while Federer had to come back from two sets down against Julien Benneteau.
Djokovic is the reigning champion, but he won last year when in his unbeatable pomp. His form up to Wimbledon shows he is no such state now, regardless of the fact he has won his four out of his previous matches within three sets.
Federer has never lost a semi-final here and that is a record I think he will maintain.
