Betting TIP Of The Day: Men’s Olympic Football
Football Betting Tips, London 2012 Olympics, VIP Gambler of the Day
Each day our tipsters search the bookies for their best bet from the sport on offer. Today’s VIP Gamble comes from the men’s Olympic football tournament.
We are advising a double of: Mexico and Japan both to win at 3/1 with Paddy Power.
There were some eye-raising results in the opening round of the London 2012 men’s football competition, not least Japan upsetting Spain with a 1-0 win to leave the gold medal second-favourites in danger of not making it out of the group.
Spain were reduced to 10-men in the first half but Japan were already ahead at this point and if it wasn’t for some shocking profligacy they would have romped to victory by four or five. Japan pressed the ball incessantly and could well be the tournament’s dark horse.
They play Morocco today, who survived a sending off to draw with Honduras in their opener in what was a very open match, and if they match their performance against Spain the north Africans will simply be overrun.
Mexico made a slow start in the form of a goalless draw with South Korea but they should have too much class for a Gabon side who also kicked off their campaign with a point against Switzerland.
